Coach & Parent

As a parent of two neurodivergent (autistic) children, I found this course especially impactful. Knowing what a child needs from their parents in a stressful situation, whether caused by the external or internal environment, is crucial. I gained a deeper understanding of the mechanism of stress and how children respond to it.

The course clarified the difference between anxiety and concussion, emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, and showed how tracking symptoms can be a powerful tool. I learned how much parents’ emotions influence a child’s feelings and that we, as parents, must first learn ourselves before teaching our children emotional intelligence. Resilience is far more important than temporary happiness.

Each of the tools shared was valuable. I especially appreciate that they are simple, practical, and easy to apply, things any parent can do without needing a high level of skill or knowledge. The course offered excellent information on conditions related to anxiety and concussion and how to differentiate between them.

I now understand more clearly how parents can model their children's mental state and promote resilience. The course also highlighted how essential it is for parents, especially those raising neurodivergent children, to feel supported in these challenges. Over the weeks, I have seen progress as I gained a better understanding of the help my children need.
